Contrary to popular belief, you can become a professional model even if you are not tall, thin and perfect. In this workshop, students will learn how to walk the runway, how to get started, how to find a modeling agency and all about the different types of models. Participants also learn how to pose for print photography. This workshop increases confidence, posture and poise as well. A mini-fashion show will be presented at the end of the seminar for family and friends. This is for anyone who dreams of modeling or even adding a bit of grace to your life.

Be a part of bringing this endearing story from the page to the stage!  Memorize lines and blocking from selected scenes from this inspiring tale for a 15-minute performance for family and friends.  Build confidence and develop many skills including teamwork, creative thinking and communication. No singing or dancing, just learning to present a story to an audience.

KIDS ACTING TECHNIQUE CLASS: “The Little Match Girl” and “A Christmas Story”  
(For ages: 6-8)

Get into the spirit of the holidays with two classic holiday tales. This class is designed to develop basic acting skills including audition technique, showing emotions, and becoming the character. Character behavior, physical characteristics and emotions are also examined. All students will improve confidence and public speaking skills while exploring and performing scenes. Although this is not a performance class, there will be a showcase for students to demonstrate what they have learned. No singing or dancing.

KIDS SINGING TECHNIQUE CLASS: Holiday Season Songs   (For ages: 6-8)

What spreads some holiday cheer better than singing? Our professional musical director will work with students on solos, duets and ensemble pieces from popular holiday music. Students learn basic singing skills including breath control and proper posture. Although this is not a performance class, there will be a showcase for students to demonstrate what they have learned. Who knows, maybe there will be some caroling in your future…

Performers in this group will memorize lines, songs and choreography from selected scenes for two 15-minute performances for family and friends. Students build confidence and develop many skills including teamwork, creative problem solving and communication.

  ONE DAY SEMINAR: How to Get Into the Business of Show Business (For ages: 12-Adults) 

Ever wonder how to get paying work in the entertainment industry? In this seminar, industry professionals tell you what you need to know. Attendees will learn how to find an agent and auditions, all about scams, unions, headshots, resumes and more. A list of reputable agents will be provided. The workshop will end in a Q & A session. 

 THANKSGIVING 3-DAY BOOT CAMP: On-Camera Acting “iCarly”  and “Drake and Josh”
     (For ages: 8-12)

Learn the skills necessary to be the next Disney star! This course explores the techniques to audition and act for commercials, TV and films. Students will learn the important differences between stage and on-camera acting. Includes on-camera review and video playback. There will be adult supervision during the lunch hour for students also enrolled in the Best of Broadway Boot Camp.

  THANKSGIVING 3-DAY BOOT CAMP: “Best of Broadway”  (For ages: 8-12)

Here’s your chance to explore all your favorite musicals in three days! Performers will memorize lines, songs and choreography from selected scenes for two 30-minute performances for family and friends. Students build confidence and develop many skills including teamwork, quick creative thinking and communication. There will be adult supervision during the lunch hour for students also enrolled in the On-Camera Boot Camp.

  HOLIDAY 3-DAY BOOT CAMP: “Romeo and Juliet-A Comedy”  (For ages: 8-12)

We are spicing up some Shakespeare just for the young performer! Students will memorize lines and blocking from selected scenes of this comedic version of the classic play culminating in a showcase for family and friends. Students build confidence and develop many skills including teamwork, creative thinking and communication. No singing or dancing. There will be adult supervision during the lunch hour for students also enrolled in Spamalot Boot Camp.

  HOLIDAY 3-DAY BOOT CAMP: “Spamalot”  (For ages: 8-12)

This camp is for anyone who loves to laugh. Performers in this group will memorize lines, songs and choreography from selected scenes from this Monty Python musical comedy to perform in a showcase for family and friends. Students build confidence and develop many skills including teamwork, creative thinking and communication. Edited to be “G” Rated. There will be adult supervision during the lunch hour for students also enrolled in the Romeo and Juliet Boot Camp. 

ONE DAY MODELING SEMINAR: Runway and Print Modeling  (For ages: 8-18)

There’s no music better to learn to sing than that of Andrew Lloyd Webber! Our professional musical director will work with students on solos, duets, and ensemble pieces from this renowned musical.  Participants will progress from basic to more advanced singing skills learning breath control, phrasing and expanding range. Although this is not a performance class, there will be a showcase for students to demonstrate what they have learned. No lines or dancing, just pure singing!

TWEENS ACTING TECHNIQUE CLASS: “Twilight” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” (For ages: 9-12)

Here’s the class where you could go from being a supernatural vampire to a swashbuckling pirate all in one day! This class is designed to develop basic and intermediate acting skills including character development, character behavior, physical characteristics and emotions. Cold reading and audition technique are also included. Participants explore and perform scenes from these hit movies. Although this is not a performance class, there will be a showcase for students to demonstrate what they have learned. All students will improve confidence and public speaking skills.

YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS: Write Your Own Play  (For ages: 10-18)

Are you an aspiring writer or just like to tell a good story? Let those creative juices flow in this class where students will learn the writing process, play structure, creating characters and conflict and more! The plays written during the session will be brought to life and performed by fellow class members in a showcase for family and friends.

It’s always hard to find a good monologue. Now you can make one! Students construct their own monologues by learning to express ideas and emotions appropriate to a specific character and purposefully using the elements of focus, tension, contrast and symbol in their comedic or dramatic piece. Participants perform their monologue at a showcase for family and friends.
